Bert Hill Moving & Storage was founded in 1915 by Herbert Hill Sr., with a dedication to providing top-tier moving services. Passed down through generations, the company was taken over by Herbert Hill Jr., and then sold to Kenneth Dulude Sr. in 1970. Under Ken’s leadership, we became the premier piano movers in the Springfield area, known for innovative techniques like rigging pianos through windows and porches.

Ken Sr. revolutionized piano moving by inventing the hatchway rigging method, allowing safe and easy transport of pianos in and out of basements. His innovative approach set Bert Hill Moving & Storage apart, making us a leader in specialized moving services.

Expanding Our Reach and Services

In 1996, Kenneth Dulude Jr. took over the family business, continuing the tradition of quality service. He expanded our operations by adding storage solutions and upgrading our fleet to accommodate larger moves. Our service area grew to include the entire East Coast, from Maine to Florida, offering comprehensive moving and storage options to fit every customer’s needs.

In 2005, Bert Hill Moving & Storage acquired a 20,000 sq. ft. facility in Westfield, MA to further meet the demands of our growing customer base. This expansion allows us to provide even more storage and moving services to our clients across Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Recognized Leadership in the Moving Industry

In 2014, Kenneth Dulude Jr. was appointed President of the Massachusetts Movers Association, further solidifying our reputation as a trusted leader in the industry. Ken stepped down in 2016 to focus on Bert Hill Moving & Storage but continues to serve on the Association’s Board of Directors.

Movers

Experience preferred.

Clean, Neat, Well Spoken able to do physical hard labor and able to follow instructions.

Needs reliable transportation.

CDLA Drivers

Must have license in good standing, drug free, high school diploma or equivalent.

Able to do heavy lifting and must be able to pass driver physical.

Responsibilities : Moving of Customers, Loading and Unloading truck without damage.

Perform truck inspections, inventory checks and complete paperwork plus payment collection and great customer relationship skills.
